I read a lot about spiritualism and seances when I was writing a novella (which will someday appear here on Substack), but I learned tons more from your post, and I loved learning the connections between Surrealism and Spiritualism. (Also, we are supposed to have a "personal mission statement" at work--and I never do it. Now I kinda want "praise be to hysteria" to be my new mission statement.)
